Alessandra began piano lessons at a young age and participated in music festivals, recitals and competitions for many years. She is also an affiliate member of ORMTA (Ontario Registered Music Teachers' Association) and is currently serving as Communications Coordinator on ORMTA's Provincial Council.
Alessandra holds Elementary and Intermediate Piano Pedagogy certificates from the Royal Conservatory of Music. Aside from her regular study of the piano, she has also acquired skill in playing guitar, bass and flute and is a graduate of Metalworks Institute, earning a diploma in Audio Production and Engineering.
Alessandra offers in-person or virtual lessons to students of any age and focuses mostly on the RCM program (including theory, technique, sight reading and ear training) but also tailors lessons to each student's needs and preferences. For younger students, learning is reinforced with musical games or computer and iPad games. Her main goal is to make lessons fun and demonstrate how enjoyable music can be.
In her spare time, Alessandra also works on charcoal portraits and drawings. Her work can be viewed at www.facebook.com/aless.matt.art or www.instagram.com/aless.matt.art.
