2023 ORMTA In Sync


We are very excited to see everyone in a few weeks for our In Sync events! For those attending, the schedule and all other information can be found online here. Members joining our AGM virtually will receive the Google Meet link a few days prior. 


Tickets to the Vocal and Instrumental Competitions can still be purchased online up to July 18th and also with cash at the door. Tickets are $25 for ORMTA Members, $30 for non-members, $10 for Youth (18 and under) and give you access to all competition sessions. If you can't make it, don't forget to subscribe to our YouTube channel and turn on notifications so you can view all of the performances afterwards. 

Membership Renewal


If you missed the July 1st deadline to renew your ORMTA membership, you can still renew by logging in to our website*. Keep in mind that membership renewal happens in two steps: renewal and payment. To make sure your membership is renewed you should receive a receipt for any payments submitted online. Take a look at this helpful tutorial for instructions on how to renew your membership.

Important Reminders


With the school year now over, ORMTA is beginning to plan for the 2023-2024 year. It's imperative that we have updated Branch Executive information so communications can continue smoothly throughout the year. If it hasn't been done already, please email your 2023-2024 Executive list to our Secretary Registrar as soon as possible.

It's also a great time to ensure your ORMTA directory listing is up to date. Did you know that you can include your website, social media channels, headshot or logo, links and videos in your listing? Watch this webinar to see exactly how to set up your profile just the way you want!

Summer Reading


If you have some down time this summer, check out these great resources on the ORMTA and CFMTA websites for some fresh new ideas:

New Notes Editor


Notes Magazine has a new editor! As our magazine serves to communicate important information to our members, we felt it would be best that our Communications Coordinator, Alessandra Matthews, take on the role. Alessandra has served on Provincial Council for the past 7 years and has shown she has a keen eye for design and ample knowledge of technology that will keep the magazine stylish and exciting.

Thank you to our previous editor of many years, Patrick McCormick for all of your assistance!

Be sure to update your Notes editor contact info to notes@ormta.org and check back here in the fall for the next issue.

Do you have something you would like to share in Notes Magazine? We are always accepting pedagogical articles, paid promotional articles, advertisements and reviews. Click here for more info. 
 
If you have a review of a Canadian music collection or musical book or movie, submit it here. For the next instalment of Sandra's Bookshelf, the theme is Business: books that have helped you run your studio or offer business tips.

Noteworthy Studios & Students

Share your student successes with us for posting to ORMTA's social media channels! Any sort of success story is welcome, but we will also have a theme for each month.
